OUR WORKSHOPS

An AVP workshop is an intensive 20-hour structured workshop of experiential exercises and group processes. We have four primary types of workshops: the Basic Workshops, the Advanced Workshop, the Training for Facilitators Workshop, and the Trauma Awareness Workshop.

Basic Workshops

Advanced Workshops

In the Basic workshop, participants learn to practise appropriate assertiveness, deal with conflict in new ways, experience empathy, increase self-esteem, and build community.
In the Advanced workshop, participants learn to make group consensus decisions and explore in depth specfic themes chosen by participants using fair process.

Training for Facilitators Workshops

Trauma Awareness Workshops

In the Training for Facilitators workshop, participants learn the logistics and techniques for planning, facilitating and debriefing an AVP workshop.
In the Trauma Awareness workshop, participants explore recognition and understanding of the impact of trauma and loss in their lives.
